Terms of Service

Effective October 10, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Tarabish about using our website and apps. Please read them before you play.

1. Accepting these terms

By using Tarabish, as a guest or with an account, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Tarabish.

2. Who can play

You must be at least 13 years old to use Tarabish. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you need permission from a parent or guardian, who also agrees to these terms on your behalf.

3. Guest play and accounts

• You can play as a guest. Guest progress is tied to your browser and may be lost if you clear its data or switch devices.
• If you create an account, give a valid email address you control, and keep your password private. You’re responsible for activity on your account.
• Accounts are for one person and can’t be sold, shared or transferred.
• Tell us right away at support@playtarabish.ca if you think someone else has used your account.

4. Fair play and conduct

When you play, chat, choose a display name or write a bio, you agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, bully or demean anyone, or post hateful, sexual, violent or otherwise offensive content.
• Share anyone’s personal information, including your own, in chat or your profile.
• Cheat, including sharing your cards with other players outside the game, colluding against other players, or using software to play for you.
• Exploit bugs, interfere with other players’ games, or try to access accounts, data or systems that aren’t yours.
• Overload, attack or disrupt the service, or use automated tools to access it.
• Impersonate another person, or use a display name that is offensive or misleading.
• Use Tarabish for spam, advertising or anything illegal.

We may remove content, change a display name, end games, or suspend or close accounts that break these rules. Where we can, we’ll explain why.

5. Coins, XP and cosmetics

• Coins, experience points (XP), levels and cosmetic items are earned through play. They aren’t money, have no monetary value, and can’t be bought, sold, traded, transferred or exchanged for real money or anything of value.
• You get a limited right to use them within Tarabish. You don’t own them.
• We may change prices, rewards, balances and items, or correct balances affected by bugs or misuse.
• Coins, XP and cosmetics are permanently lost when you delete your account or guest profile, or if your account is closed for breaking these terms.

6. Your content

You keep ownership of what you write, such as chat messages, your display name and your bio. You give Tarabish a non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to store, display and transmit that content as needed to run the game, for example showing your chat to your table. This permission ends when the content is deleted, except for copies that remain temporarily in backups.

7. Our service

The Tarabish software, design, artwork and text belong to Tarabish and its licensors. We give you a personal, non-commercial, non-transferable right to use them to play the game. Tarabish itself is a traditional card game, and nobody owns its rules.

We may change, add or remove features, reset leaderboards, or pause or end the service. Tables close after periods without play. We try to keep the game running smoothly but can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors.

8. Feedback

If you send us suggestions or feedback, we may use them to improve Tarabish without any obligation to you.

9. Disclaimers

Tarabish is a free game provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tarabish won’t be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, progress, coins or cosmetics, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to Tarabish is limited to CAD $50. Some jurisdictions don’t allow these limits, so they may not apply to you, and nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law.

11. Ending your use

You can stop playing at any time and delete your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts other players or the service at risk. Sections 5, 6, 9, 10 and 12 continue to apply after your use ends.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. You and Tarabish agree to the jurisdiction of the courts of Newfoundland and Labrador, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts.

13. App stores

If you use Tarabish through an app downloaded from an app store, that store’s terms also apply. The app store isn’t responsible for Tarabish or its content.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We’ll change the effective date above, and for significant changes we’ll give notice in the game before they take effect. If you keep playing after changes take effect, you accept the updated terms.
